I find all this very confusing. I took "Jimmy" to be a diminutive of "James" at first, even though it's longer. Except I've never heard him called anything but "James." Maybe his mum calls him that? But now I see where you're coming from...
Except, if it was "Scottish Conan Guy" before then surely it should be "English Seth" or whatever. Scotland is *still* part of Britain, and if your're going to make the distinction for Craig Ferguson, then you really need to be consistent. Incidentally, I'm still a little surprised that no UK network has picked this show up yet. I almost wonder if they're preventing a UK sale until the show has properly bedded in? Otherwise I'd have thought that there'd be enough demand for a Corden show in the UK. [On the other hand, no UK network has ever stuck with *any* imported US late night talk show in the UK. At the moment CNBC Europe airs edited versions of Fallon at weekends, and the British version of TruTV airs Conan in the small hours, helpfully providing zero information in the EPG, and being completely out of kilter from everything else on the channel.
