Merv Adelson, 85, launched Lorimar with Lee Rich and Irwin Molasky in the 
late 60s, and could later almost be regarded on level with network execs 
with the slate of hit shows they put out -- *The Waltons, Dallas*, *Eight 
Is Enough, Full House* -- but had to endure adversity as well: the dotcom 
crash after their merger with Time Warner, admitted mob ties from his 
native Las Vegas, and marriage to and divorce from Barbara Walters...
