The push-button-tuning, remoteless RCA console TV that's been in our family
since the early 80s was wheeled out by little brother Chris in favor of a
midsize one dad got for the master bedroom 10 or so years later... Chris
thinks a remote for the middie may be lurking in the bedroom, but I have a
uni-remote leftover from Service Electric, that in theory could be made to
work with it if need be... until then we still have an ancient VCR acting
as a 'box'.

The old set was a lot like dad... everybody knew about its issues, and no
professional was going to improve its condition much.
