Dumb question, but when did the Sweeps period begin? That could have something to do with the intended scheduling of new episodes.
Are the dates for the various series set in stone ahead of time, or do they modulate depending on how long the preceding series run? It occurs to me that we had a DS go the full 5 games, a CS go to game 6 and now the WS is going to game 7 - meaning that this is almost as late as the post-season could run.
