The station group that wants to acquire Tribune Broadcasting got hit with
the fine from the FCC for presenting ads on its stations for a cancer
institute as news stories, without any sponsorship credit, a total of 1,700
times over six months last year:

It comes out to around $7,700 per ad, which is a relative shoulder tap
compared to the FCC maximums for such an incident, particularly for that
many instances.
