BBCA's press release says "The network’s US premiere will start at the same
time as the UK debut on-air on Sunday, October 7th (time to be announced),
followed by a special encore in its new regular primetime evening slot."
I would be very surprised if that afternoon showing is commercial-free on BBCA.
Note the "start at the same time" language, which is not the same thing as "air
simultaneously with," etc.
