February and you didn’t hear anything about the NFL until you turned on the
news the day of, or opened your newspaper the day after the draft. Now as soon
as the big game is over the mock drafts immediately start and even though they
are meaningless they continue for two and a half months. It’s not like I’m
looking for them or any NFL news. They just happen to occupy the most prominent
part of sports sites and the twitter feeds of local beat writers.
