There's a case to be made that Ike Perlmutter getting laid off isn't any 
great loss to Marvel or Disney. Apart from his attempt to oust the board 
last year, he and Kevin Feige have been at odds going all the way back to 
Phase 2 of the MCU (or possibly before), and there are some who claim he 
was actively trying to sabotage Feige by pushing Marvel TV in an 
inconsistent direction (which is one of the reasons why beyond Season 2 or 
so of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D", there wasn't a ton of cohesion with the MCU, 
despite being considered canon at the time).  And some report that's he's a 
misogynistic douche.
