He had nothing outside of his character. I can’t help but think of the late Peter Sellers, who said more than once that he has no idea who he was outside of the roles he played in movies.
Terry was Hulk, and that’s all that he was. There was a very brief window in my own life — maybe two months or so when I was nine-years-old — when I followed wrestling. I was by no means a Hulkamaniac, but he was a part of the pop culture of the day. I will mostly remember him for the lawsuit which led to the shutdown of Gawker, but of course he didn’t sue them out of some righteous cause, so he doesn’t really get bonus points for that. Kevin M.
