[WheresEric.com] heard Coolidge (also 80) playing what eventually became 
the second, piano-centered half of the song as a separate tune of which 
Coolidge and Gordon asked Whitlock to join in on writing (he passed, 
contending it wasn't "rock 'n roll")... Coolidge also has contended

("Professor of Rock," f'rinstance, on Youtube), but someone (publisher? 
label? not his ex-manager Robert Stigwood [d. 2013]) sided with Clapton, 
and still is until proven otherwise...
