When I was growing up in Canada, I watched a lot of TV. My knowledge of US cities was very limited and what I did know came from US Sitcoms. NYC knowledge came from SNL, Kotter, Jeffersons, Good Times, etc. LA knowledge came from CHiPs and others. Cincinnati was WKRP. You get the idea.
The past few weeks I've been wondering how Mary, Ed, Ted, and Murray would have been covering the news in Minneapolis.
