The youngest of the Anderson clan in the long-running family sitcom, Lauren Chapin said she got the role because she resembled one of star Robert Young's children--she had a stereotypical bad child star life, with her claiming that her father molested her, that she had attempted suiccide, had dropped out of high school and married at 16 (and divorced at 18 when she discovered her husband was a bigamist), dabbled in prostitution and was a dope addict, miscarried eight times and sued her mother for the money she earned from "Father Knows Best"--she did clean up and had a career as both a pastor and talent agent (where she claimed to have discovered Jennifer Love Hewitt)--cancer on Tuesday:
