Thanks.
Mercurio was the warm-up when I saw Colbert last time. I *think* he's been
doing warmup for Colbert since the Report. And I will *definitely* take
advantage of any restroom breaks.
I've now been confirmed for a ticket for the Late Night taping on Thursday,
March 5. I haven't been, but based on the information from the ticket, it
seems to be a shorter process from check-in to end of taping compared to
Colbert. I guess the smaller studio has something to do with that.
FWIW, I'm going to NYC mainly to see the show "All In" at the Nederlander
Theater, and if the timing works out, some concerts at Birdland. It just seems
silly not to take a shot at talk show tapings, especially with Colbert ending
soon. And with the weather staying close to freezing while I'm there, I'll
bounce from indoor attraction to indoor attraction.

When I went to Colbert in September 2023 we got a full show, plus a musical
performance by Sting for a future episode.
The warm up guy, Paul Mercurio (sp?) was pretty good and also has a podcast.
Once you are seated, they bring you to the bathroom in groups prior to the show
starting. Take advantage of that.

Thanks. When I went in 2022, one interview in that night's show was taped
earlier in the week, and the musical guest's performance didn't air until later
that month. If anything, that pattern seems more common lately than ever
before.
As for the temperature, it should actually be warmer inside the Ed than outside
if the weather forecasts are accurate. I will be layering.

Be prepared for anything. Elements that might not air for weeks, or ever, can
be produced on any given night. And you likely also know about how cold the
room is, much like with Letterman, and that segments could be specific to the
website/Youtube (e.g. Talarico).B

With the usual disclaimer about tickets not guaranteeing entry, I have a
confirmed ticket for next Tuesday's (3/3) Colbert taping. I've been before,
back in November 2022. My DVR says the guests will be Jake Gyllenhaal and
Maria Bamford.
I'm waitlisted for other tapings next week (Colbert and Meyers), but I'm not
holding my breath.
Besides looking for any signs encouraging booing, is there anything else to
watch for?
