What is the reason for you to buy AMD64 system ?

For example, I have gone ahead with AMD64X2 AM2 socket processor
as I am designing an appliance and I need a lot of raw processing
power.

For a desktop considerations, take a look at

Will also need to make it dual boot to play your win games ?
If yes, where will the 64-bit drivers come from ?

Give a bit of thought for your purpose and then plan the same.

The best part is that AMD64X2 also has a 32-bit mode support.
So that way you can run 32-bit binaries, but then why pay for
a 64-bit system, which you are not using anyway ?

Does it help ?

thanks
Saifi.
