Appliance address this aspect in a beautiful way ! We want to develop storage appliance which addresses intelligent storage requirements of Small and Medium businesses. An Appliance OS platform is the cornerstone for delivering seamless services on an appliance. RockHopper is an Appliance OS designed exclusively for 64-bit AMD multi-core processor family and non-intel chipset boards, available in India. The source code is derived from Linux kernel and OpenSource software libraries. All the code that we write will be released under GPL v2. In the true spirit of the OpenSource the project has been registered on Sourceforge.net and the website is http://rockhopper.sourceforge.net/ We also have an RockHopper Engineering site at http://rockhopper.twincling.org/ The Engineering site hosted off Drupal (another OpenSource product) has the requisite information to get any interested OpenSource developer started right away.
