Hi, Which one do you prefer mysql or oracle for an application to be developed in .net. I would be looking for the ease of development, support and speed. This is free for development from Microsoft. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/hi-in/express/bb410792.aspx (needs some registration - give some invalid info) This handles most of the development requests. Here, the point - which database is "good" is not answered. The "good"ness of a database depends on the type of application we are going to develop in future. We cannot just rely on something which is freely available, or something which has good technical support. A technical architect who has worked with all the databases is right point of contact.
