Hi All,

I have seen the news item. I expected that. From my experience in
training in various Govt Departments.

They should take clue from Tamil Nadu government and how Tamil nadu
electronics corporation (ELCOT) goes about promoting open source
products in its various Govt department and saving public money

The Way open source products are deployed and implemented were
highlighted in jan/Feb (not sure) issue of Linux for u magazine by TN
electronics corporation chairman in an interview.

Even they have a mission Statement on there web site to promote open source.

http://www.elcot.com/

thanks

Sridhar
