Hi all:

Linus Torvalds in an interesting and suave interview with
InformationWeek shares his thoughts on where Linux is headed in 2008.

Some of the key areas he talks about is:
. support for solid state disks
 . support for better graphics
 . better wireless networking
 . server virtualization

Linux being an Open Source kernel with a large community of
contributors is flexible enough to be tailored for anything
from mobile devices to massive distributed systems.

One platform that some of us may want to take a look at is 'MAEMO'
Maemo is a Linux-based development platform for handheld devices
esp. Nokia Internet Tablets.

Please take a look at http://www.maemo.org/

thanks
Saifi.
