HI all,

i have an openSUSE 10.3 i386 KDE CD. i tried installing it on my laptop..

the bootscreen comes...i select the openSUSE menu..and say INSTALLATION.
then the splash screen comes...LOADING.......and it stops there, forever

so i tried it again, this time,
i looked at the details...its takes about 10 min for loading
something, i think its a driver..it says,
LOADING pata_ali

then it continues, with other drivers, without confirming wherether
that pata loaded or not...

after that, it says NO REPOSITORY FOUND. It isnt recognising the CD ROM.

So again i tried it..this time,

i copied all the openSUSE CD into my primary HDD and tried again. this
time it went a bit further...

i formatted a partion with Ext3. then when it has to load the OS, it
says, UNABLE TO MOUNT the Drive...it says,TEMP already mounted it..

Can anyone help me out ? i checkd out a few forums..they say its a
kernel bug.

thank you,

Shrinath K.
