Hi all: i have been looking at the devpts entry in /etc/mtab for the distros which provide LiveCDs.
Here are the two variations that i saw. devpts rw,nosuid,noexec devpts rw,mode=0620,gid=5 What are the assumptions that go in to decide which entry should be made ? gid=5 typically means tty and so a 'noexec' entry would that the user is locked out ? Anybody looked at this aspect, please share your thoughts or observations. thanks Saifi.
