I want to make my career as a linux programmer / system programmer on linux platform. I am very much interested in data networks ,like implementation of protocols, and network security like IPS/IDS . I want to ask every body , if one has to make career in such area, C programming language is enough?.Do i need to study JAVA ,if then what level of JAVA.What are other options to be a linux programmer. I will be glad if some one tell me the job prospects for such career, specially in INDIA. Is this money making job or only for passionate programmers .
