Hi everyone, I had some doubts to be clarified, like i don't have gcc installed so i downloaded these files 1)gcc-4.3-39.1.i586.rpm 2)gcc43-4.3.1_20080507-6.1.i586.rpm 3)glibc-devel-2.8-14.1.i586.rpm 4)linux-kernel-headers-2.6.25-8.1.noarch.rpm as i got error like they had dependencies.Now i am stuck up because though i installed 2,3,4 packages the first one that is gcc-4.3-39.1.i586.rpm does't get installed. I get this error libgomp1 >= 4.3.1_20080507-6.1 is needed by gcc43-4.3.1_20080507-6.1.i586 libmudflap0 >= 4.3.1_20080507-6.1 is needed by gcc43-4.3.1_20080507-6.1.i586 libmudflapth0 >= 4.3.1_20080507-6.1 is needed by gcc43-4.3.1_20080507-6.1.i586 I have no idea what they mean searched in suse repository there are no such files. I installed all other files with the command "rpm -Uvh flename.rpm".......... i also tried instaling gcc using yast but the files to be downloaded are about 500MB. I tried this command rpm -qa | grep -i gcc it gave output like libgcc43-4.3.1_20080507-6.1 does it mean its already installed but then i am not able to compile the programs. Please help.
