Hi Sandeep, I use ubuntu 8.10 & sony ericsson k790i. It works for me out of the box. I gjust connect phone usin usb data cable & on the phone i need to select the phone mode ( not file transfer mode or photo print mode) & it gets configured automatically if your phone settings are proper. So first check if internet is running fine on your phone than connect to you notebook. I have used this with open suse too it works fine i believe. I have tried using this with vista ( though it asked me to lot of driver got installed finally worked). Best Regards, Sumit
