I found a little loom in a junk store yesterday. It is all redwood, and has a branded label which says My Lady Rug Loom. It isn't a rug loom, but looks like a band loom. It has two spools on a shaft with a wooden ratchet and pawl brake. The spools have gears which hook the two together. This spool and brake system sits on top of a tray-like box, which is six inches wide, about two feet long and an inch deep. There is no mechanism at the other end, but there are a couple of holes. I'll have to get my camera back from my daughter who takes photos for my etsy shop. Anyway, I purchased the loom for ten bucks, and will be weaving on it soon. It needs a little cleaning and a little bit of glue to get into weaving condition.
