English is not my native language, maybe I did a mistake somewhere. I am
using Twisted and Divmod software for some time. Being able to compare
those with some other opensource projects out there, I definetley choose
them over another -- also because of configurability (mentioned
twistd(1) program is a wonderful example of pluggable architecture) and
backward-compatibility. If you need any more help on twisted.web and
nevow, feel free to post your questions here.
I just don't think that dissing efforts of many developers to write
backwards-compatible software by calling those efforts "a giant mess" is
a sensible thing. Twisted is opensource. You can file bugs and send
patches at http://twistedmatrix.com/
