Hi folks, How would I do this? I have a website (www.myenergyusage.org) which I want to get talking to twitter. It will send updates on other user's accounts of their power usage etc. I do not want, nor expect user to like it, to keep a user's username and password as I would have to keep it as plain text.
Is there a way a user can give me their username, a "secret key" (not password) which I can then use to send updates from the website? ...or do I need to hold a person's username and their password (in clear text?) Is it possible for me to hash a password, save that and use that to authenticate? TIA Cheers, Cripsin
