Just to clarify Arno's answer: If you need to send Emails with SMTP over SSL/TLS link, you need the SSL enabled version of the well known TSmtpCli component. This component is names TSslSmtpCli. The usage is almost the same as TSmtpCli with of course added properties, methods and events to handle SSL/TLS operation.
