**PLDI 2026 Call for Student Volunteers**
----------------------------------------------------
Sign up to be a Volunteer and help us make PLDI 2026 a great experience for all
attendants!
PLDI 2026 is pleased to offer a number of opportunities for volunteers, who are
vital to the efficient operation and continued success of the conference each
year. The volunteer program is a chance for students and Programming Languages
researchers aspirants from around the world to participate in the conference
whilst assisting us in preparing and running the event. In exchange for a fixed
number of work hours (usually from 12 to 15) helping with the conference
organization, you will be able to interact closely with researchers, mentors,
faculty, and other students at PLDI 2026.
You will be able to support us in person or virtually. We are looking forward
to seeing you in the Volunteering team!
Eligibility:
Applicants can be undergraduate, Master’s, Ph.D., full- or part-time students
(current or prospective) of computer science and related fields.
Qualifications:
A Volunteer should
*
Be enthusiastic and highly motivated, with strong interpersonal skills,
*
Be fluent in English, which is the language of the conference,
*
Be reliable, punctual, and organized.
Duration:
Applicants must be available for at least four (4) full days between the 15th
and 19th of June and will be expected to provide 12-15 hours of volunteering
work in that time. Volunteers will also be expected to be available for some
amount of pre-conference discussion and training if necessary. Volunteers from
all time zones are welcome.
About Volunteering:
The skills, talents, and dedication of our Volunteers contribute to the overall
quality of the conference. The Volunteer role this year will mainly involve
working with the organizers to prepare for the conference by providing
technical assistance to attendees, managing online Q&A and poster sessions, and
supporting active communication in our online environment.
Travel Funds:
The Volunteering program does not cover travel expenses. Volunteers receive
complimentary registration to PLDI, but spots are limited. Alternatives may be
provided in case we receive a high number of applications.
Volunteers can apply for extra funding from SIGPLAN PAC funding or PLMW.
