Greetings all! I have a site which does a very typical "different header image on different pages" thing, and figured an easy enough way to manage this would be to make a mapping to the header image inside TV to allow the site administrator to set different heading images for different pages. The problem is that on large sites, they might not rememeber or might want it to either slide to the parent's image, or revert to a sitewide default.
Some googling turned up some conflicting responses on the matter, one saying that one should refer to the <default> tag for FCE configuration, the other asking a developer in a similar situation if he could see the <default> tag in the docs. I too could not see it http://www.typo3-jack.net/typo3-project-templavoila-lists-netfielders-de/5841-typo3-templavoila-default-element-field-value.html (Use <default>) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg22930.html (Implies there is no such thing as <default> ) Does anyone know precisely how to solve this? Is creating a mapping even the best way to solve the problem or is there perhaps some better way? I can see great use for being able to stipulate defaults and slides for TV elements, but am a little stuck. Semantically it would be best to then use this image as the background image in the CSS, though how to go about that is beyond me, so one small step at a time for now!
