Anders Try using Opera... I use it as a News Collection Tool (Mailingslists+RSS). It markes new Posts in Treads with a star and colors the Titels Blue. It takes a while until you know how to use it efficiantly, but it is worth trying. Anyway, as far as I remember, even Thunderbird did mark new posts.
