I have a similar bug at our hoster (domainfactory here in germany), where also all special chars are removed. They told me, their apache somehow misteric runs english locales (after a big update) and I should include this as a hot-fix: setlocale(LC_ALL, 'de_DE.iso8859-1');
Where to put this line??
You could try this, too by setting a chinese charset (or utf-8 :-P). Steffen
