Best would be to remove the whole condition on L=0. Firsts, it is less
conditions (and less cache entries). Secondly, you need to have a
default language anyway, so that condition does not make sense. Thirdly,
you will override it with condition on L=1 when necessary.
I know, I started very clean but I've added code from here and there
while trying to make this work. Anyway, deleting/cleaning the code
doesn't help in this matter.
