Hi Salander, That is a pretty big upgrade path. Extensions that are that old are definitely going to change over that time - new templates etc. sr_feuser_register had a change of marker templates at 2.6:

When you do a big update, its a good idea to step through the versions/changelogs of extensions as well to check what changes happen.
