Hi Urs, you should really think about installing TYPO3 the modern way with composer. If you want to upgrade your TYPO3 theese days from let's say 8.7.5 to 8.7.6 a single line helps: composer update typo3/cms
But back to your question: Symlinks are not supported with this feature.
