[tz] Whither /usr/share/zoneinfo/right?

ISTR on Linux long ago, a subdirectory,
/usr/share/zoneinfo/right,
which used arguments not POSIX time but TAI.
Was that a local hack, or was it removed,
possibly because of uncertainty of future
leap seconds?
