Just now, I recompile kernel with even more IDE drivers. This time it seems recognized my hard disk: ======== Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 7.00alpha2 ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx PDC20265: IDE controller (0x105a:0x0d30 rev 0x02) at PCI slot 0000:00:04.0 PDC20265: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later PDC20265: (U)DMA Burst Bit DISABLED Primary PCI Mode Secondary PCI Mode. But this still fails. # fdisk /dev/hde fdisk: cannot open /dev/hde p.s. I have manually made new nodes for dev/hde, hde1.... Any advices? Thank you. --- ShenLei ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
