Well, since -74 is EBADMSG, I suspect the error occurs at the following code in nand_do_read_ops() in nand-base.c: if (mtd->ecc_stats.failed - stats.failed) return -EBADMSG; I'm not real familiar with the nand driver code, so I'll add some debug printfs and see if I can determine why this is happening.
