With your patch, the value of "descriptor_count", as well as the other arguments, will remain uncertain even we see EFI_SUCCESS at return. Since dfu_init_env_entities() returns -EINVAL in case "dfu_alt_info" is not defined, efi_get_dfu_info(), hence efi_firmware_[fit|raw]_get_image_info(), returns immediately without setting any value to "descriptor_count".
