I'll grant the geographic difference. I'm in the northeast, not denver. But I do get blurry eyed reading these long, very specific requirement-oriented postings and finding out that they pay $45K. I wish I were 25 again with only 2-3 years experience in *anything* as that's what the market wants to hire for that kind of $. I made $45K as a lead programmer (100 user MCD) at a $75M distributor at my last full-time job in 1992.
