Are you doing a STOP and exiting to mvBase TCL? In UDT or UV, exiting to TCL would close all of your open o/s file handles, unless they were opened to labeled COMMON, but maybe mvBase doesn't work that way, for some reason.
Did you try the mvBase "UCLOSE" statement?
