Does this site have network or systems admin? If so, are they upgrading or otherwise screwing with the system? Is there a router somewhere that is resetting itself? I've been victum of all this and more at our site.

XP/NT4/Win98 Dynamic Connect / UniVerse / HP-Ux users here have experienced abrupt logout. As a first fix, I gave them Trend's PC-cillin or Trend's SMB. ReBooting the HP-Ux box seems to help for a few hours. It is a pesky intermittent thing.
