I can use the AE editor on Universe if I login as the administrator but a regular user gets the following message:
Program 'SH: printenv: not found ' is named in an environmental variable, but it's name does not end with '_AE'. Unable to continue. Program "*AE": pc = 2BBA, Variable previously undefined.
