Hi,

This is the "CreatePointers" where you need to work.

The entry in the VOC must be :
000 MYDOSDIR
001 F
002 path
003 D_VOC

Where path can be :
Full path : <drive>:\dir\dir\... sample c:\windows
Relative Path : ..\..\dir\dir

Take a look to &UFD& entry in VOC which point to "local dir"

For info :
- SYSTEM(32) return the path to uvhome
- SYSTEM(38) return the path to uvtemp

Regards.

Subject: [U2] Q-pointers to system folder

Some years ago,I discover Universe as a very good tool for working with text files, (Lot of helpfull data basic commands) Now I'm trying to use UV for this purose, but geting access to DOS files, It's possible to do a "Q" pointer or similar to work with all txt files in a Windws folder (001.txt, 002.txt,.....) work with this files and write back them in a diferent folder?

The procedure its simple but I'dont know who to work with dos folders from basic.

PD: What I Want to do is :

Create Pointers
Run program,

      open files
select DOS files from the folder
        read dos file,
           modify items,
           write in diferent place
        repeat
      Close

Thanks in advance.
