Why on earth would a company support anything without a revenue
stream? Support pays for the people required to provide it. It's
great that a small to mid size business can get 10-20 years out of an
IT investment. But, they should be prepared to make a big move when
the ole mini finally spirals into the dirt. Or when regulations
require the overhaul of that great app written back in the 80's.
