The Lantronics "support" person, named George, implied that there is a "listening port" for every physical port on his company's terminal server which has at least 15 physical ports, 13 of which have dumb terminals and 2 with HP printers in serial mode. These ports numbers are, according to George, prefixed by "30" and appended to the ip address. With these numbers George says he can configure the devices to be terminals or printers. The /etc/services does not list 15 similar items of any kind. Maybe they are dynamically allocated by the termserver. And maybe... just maybe... our support is somewhere on the edge of reality, a place with new dimensions of sight and sound, known to late-night computer chaps as: The Twilight Zone!
