Thanks for the suggestions, hyperterminal works as a client as does Wintegrate, I needed something to work on the server end, the other end of the process. In unix, from Wintegrate I would login to the host, drop to the shell prompt and fire off Kermit. This would sit waiting for commands that Wintegrate could integrate with in its Kermit Process. However I cannot find such a facility for Windows, apart from Kermit 95 that loads some OS level copyright protection that I have concerns with particularly in the light of Sony's copyright protection software issues.
