Don't know if you're still having problems with this printer, but I have some suggestions: 1. When you go into the Properties for a printer in Windows there are 2 areas where you define the setup for the job. Under the General tab you have the Printing Preferences. These are the default options when you are printing *on the current PC*. So if you are on the print server and you print a job, then this is where your default options are defined. The other area is under the Advanced tab and is Printing Defaults. If you are on the print server and the printer is shared, then these are the defautl settings that users will get when they print to this shared queue. 2. You could try creating a separate print queue for your application, use a purely PCL driver but use the same port as you are currently using, then configure a Windows separator page to generate the necessary PJL header to call the tray you want. Here are a couple of sites that instruct on writing .SEP files: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q131714 http://www.windowsitpro.com/Article/ArticleID/14517/14517.html?Ad=1 I suggest using an HP LaserJet 2000 driver - downside is it's only 300 dpi, but there's no PJL produced by it. 3. There might be some sort of override programmed into the Canon itself. Perhaps speak to your service company? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Problem-with-Canon-ImageRunner-5000-Printer-t1670668.html#a5010966 Sent from the U2 - Users forum at Nabble.com. ------- u2-users mailing list u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
