We went through this about a year ago, and ended up going with a non-Pick specific solution. We're using Payflow Pro from PayPal (formerly Verisign). It uses an XML web service, and the implementation was relatively trivial. We just assemble an XML request in UV, then feed it to PayPal's Payflow executable via a basic EXECUTE "SH". The executable sends the request to the web service and returns an XML response.
