Sounds like the UniRPC Service is not started. Use UniVerse Control and verify the services are started. If not, manually start using Windows Services, rt. click My Computer\Manage then Services and Applications. Under Services check UniRPC Service for troubles. If it will not start, make sure all applications are shutdown and reinstall UniVerse.
