Charles, A great idea!
Perhaps both the speakers and the audience could be expanded, however, if it was done by webinar. Highly qualified speakers, and even a panel of speakers, could be engaged even though they may be located in areas other than the location of the seminar. Many more people could attend. And, the cost to IBM for the webinar setup might be less than the cost to rent the meeting room. I would be interested in topics that compare products and that compare solutions to typical problems - eg: 1. Compare the tools available to add a GUI/web front end to existing character-based software. 2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the various methods of backup and recovery? 3. What strategies have been used to provide high-availability recovery systems and what tools are available to implement them? 4. What strategies have been used for migrating software from other multi-value databases to Universe or Unidata, why were they moved, what problems were encountered and how were they resolved, and what benefits accrued to the end-user as a result of the move. I am willing to provide a presentation and to participate on a panel in any of our areas of expertise, which include: 1. Electronic Data Interchange 2. Global Data Synchronization 3. Software Migration 4. Print Spooling on Universe/Unidata on Windows Happy Thanksgiving, Dave Dave Taylor President Sysmark Information Systems, Inc. 49 Aspen Way Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274 800-SYSMARK (800-797-6275) (O) 310-544-1974 (C) 310-561-5200 (P) 800-339-1497 (F) 310-377-3550 Your Source for Integrated EDI Translation and DataSync Integration www.sysmarkinfo.com IBM Business Partner ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Barouch" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, November 20, 2006 10:36 AM Subject: [SPAM] [U2] IMPORTANT: In Addition to the Incubator > All, > The U2UG is in discussions with IBM to create > the following situation: > > We provide a > speaker, on a mutually agreed upon topic.
